Diepenveen is a village in the eastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Deventer, Overijssel, about 4 km north of the city centre. Diepenveen is situated 4½ km west of Frieswijk.

Bathmen is a village and former municipality in the east of the Netherlands. The municipality was merged with her larger neighbour of Deventer on 1 January 2005 as part of a national effort to reduce bureaucracy in the country. Bathmen is situated 6 km southeast of Frieswijk.
