Oude Pekela is a town in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is located in the municipality of Pekela, about 5 km southwest of Winschoten. It was established to exploit the peat in the area.

Wedderveer is a hamlet near Wedde in the municipality of Westerwolde in the Netherlands. It has a population of around 135 and a total area of 47 ha. The sawmill Spinnenkop has been listed as a national heritage site since 1990. Wedderveer is situated 3 km east of Clockpolder.
