Casteau originated as a village in the Hainaut province of Wallonia, in the French speaking south of Belgium. Casteau has become a district of the municipality of Soignies, centred around Soignies, and together with the former villages, now districts: Chaussée-Notre-Dame-Louvignies, Horrues, Naast, Neufvilles, and Thieusies.

Thieusies is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Soignies, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. Since 1977, Thieusies formed part of the municipality of Soignies, also comprising the villages of Casteau, Horrues, Chaussée-Notre-Dame-Louvignies, Naast, Neufvilles, and Soignies. Thieusies is situated 3 km northeast of Bois d’Hayon.

Obourg is a sub-municipality of the city of Mons located in the province of Hainaut, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a separate municipality until 1972. In 1964, Saint-Denis was merged into Obourg. On 1 January 1972, Obourg was merged into Mons. Obourg is situated 3 km south of Bois d’Hayon.
