Mutterstadt is a municipality in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Though classified as rural the municipality does contain urbanized areas. It is situated approximately 7 km southwest of the city center of Ludwigshafen. Mutterstadt is situated 3½ km east of Stech Graben.

Ruchheim is the far western suburb of Ludwigshafen am Rhein located in the Rhineland-Palatinate state of Germany. In the past Ruchheim was typically a small farming town, now however due to housing estates its population has burgeoned to approximately 6,000 inhabitants. Ruchheim is situated 4 km north of Stech Graben.
