Old Leighlin
Old Leighlin, also Oldleighlin, is a village, civil parish and townland in County Carlow, Ireland. The village is 3.5 km west of Leighlinbridge. The site was at one time one of the foremost monastic houses in Leinster, with 1,500 monks in residence.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Leighlinbridge Castle, also called Black Castle, is in the village of Leighlinbridge, County Carlow, Ireland, on the River Barrow. The early castle was built c.1181 for the Normans. Leighlinbridge Castle is situated 3 km east of Old Leighlin.

Leighlinbridge is a town in County Carlow, with an ancient bridge over the River Barrow that's still in use. It stood astride the main Dublin-Waterford road until bypassed in the 1980s. In 2022 its population was less than 1,000.

Royal Oak is a small village in County Carlow, Ireland. It is on the west side of the River Barrow, across from Bagenalstown, and is off the former N9 road. It is not in or a part of Bagenalstown. Royal Oak is within the townland of Clorusk. Royal Oak is situated 4½ km southeast of Old Leighlin.
