Blackstairs Mountain is the second-highest mountain in the Blackstairs Mountains of southern Leinster in the Republic of Ireland. The mountain stretches from Rathgeran to Gowlin at Cathaoirs Den. Blackstairs Mountain is situated 3½ km east of Gowlin Old.

Ballymurphy lies between the Carlow town of Borris and the Wexford village of Kiltealy. Ballymurphy is situated 4 km north of Gowlin Old.
