Wœrth

Wœrth or Woerth is a commune in the department and region of north-eastern . The town, which lies some 40 km north of , is known for being the site of the Battle of Wörth, which took place on 6 August 1870 in the opening stages of the Franco-Prussian War. has housed the mairie since 1977.
