Wœrth
Wœrth or Woerth is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department and Grand Est region of north-eastern France. The town, which lies some 40 km north of Strasbourg, is known for being the site of the Battle of Wörth, which took place on 6 August 1870 in the opening stages of the Franco-Prussian War.
