It is one of the two churches for the Lista parish which is part of the Lister og Mandal prosti in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. Vestbygda Chapel is situated 3 km southwest of Vere.

Rasvåg is a fishing village in Flekkefjord municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is one of two harbours on the Norwegian island of Hidra. Rasvåg is located on the south side of the island and the other harbour, Kirkehamn, is located on the west side, about 4 kilometres away. Rasvåg is situated 10 km north of Vere.
