Opatje Selo
Opatje Selo is a village in the Municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica in the Littoral region of Slovenia, right on the border with Italy. It is located on the Karst Plateau, along an old road leading from Komen to Gorizia. It includes the former hamlet of Mačeče.| Tap on a place to explore it |

A sinkhole is a depression or hole in the ground caused by some form of collapse of the surface layer. The term is sometimes used to refer to doline, enclosed depressions that are also known as shakeholes, and to openings where surface water enters into underground passages known as ponor, swallow hole or swallet. Sinkhole is situated 2½ km northeast of Opatje Selo.

Abisso Bonetti is a Karst cave in the municipality of Doberdò del Lago, 1 km SE from the small village of Bonetti, near Slovenian border. The cave is one of the most famous cavities in the Gorizia Karst.

Lake Doberdò is the name of a sinkhole in the Province of Gorizia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. It is located on the westernmost edge of the Karst plateau, close to the border with Slovenia. It is named after the village of Doberdò del Lago.
