Elizabeth Castle

Elizabeth Castle is a castle and tourist attraction, on a tidal island within the parish of Saint Helier, Jersey. Construction was started in the 16th century when the power of the cannon meant that the existing stronghold at Mont Orgueil was insufficient to defend the Island and the port of St Helier was vulnerable to attack by ships armed with cannons. Elizabeth Castle is situated 620 metres north of Hermitage Breakwater.

La Collette Power Station is the main power station for Jersey, and is now the main control centre for the Channel Islands Electricity Grid. It is operated by Jersey Electricity. La Collette Power Station is situated 1¼ km east of Hermitage Breakwater.

Jersey General Hospital

Jersey General Hospital in Saint Helier is the only hospital on the island of Jersey. It has 219 beds. Medical students are placed at the hospital by the Wessex Deanery of Health Education England. Jersey General Hospital is situated 2 km northeast of Hermitage Breakwater.

Le Hocq is an area in the parish of St. Clement, in the south-east of Jersey, Channel Islands. Le Hocq is a Jèrriais name, and means "the headland" or "the cape" in English. Le Hocq is situated 4½ km east of Hermitage Breakwater.
