Danes Island is an island in Norway's Svalbard archipelago in the Arctic Ocean with an area of 40.6 km2. It lies just off the northwest coast of Spitsbergen, the largest island in the archipelago, near to Magdalenefjorden. Danes Island is situated 3 km east of Luftskipodden.
Skorpa Bird Sanctuary

Skorpa Bird Sanctuary is a bird reserve at Svalbard, Norway, established in 1973. It includes islets off Harpunodden in Albert I Land, Spitsbergen. The protected area covers a total area of around 1,100,000 square metres. Skorpa Bird Sanctuary is situated 3 km south of Luftskipodden.
