Viking Ship Museum

The Viking Ship Museum is located on the Bygdøy peninsula in Oslo, Norway. It is temporarily closed from September 2021 until 2027. It is part of the Museum of Cultural History of the University of Oslo, and houses three Viking era burial ships that were found as part of archaeological finds from Tune, Gokstad, Oseberg and the Borre mound cemetery. Viking Ship Museum is situated 4 km north of Nesskjergrunnen.

Nakholmen is an uninhabited island in the inner part of Oslofjord, in the municipitality of Oslo. It is located west of Lindøya and southeast of Bygdøy. The island has more than 180 weekend cottages. Nakholmen is situated 2½ km northeast of Nesskjergrunnen.
