Tintern Abbey

Tintern Abbey was a Cistercian abbey located on the Hook Peninsula, County Wexford, Ireland. The Abbey – which is today in ruins, some of which have been restored – was founded in c.1200 by William Marshal, Earl of Pembroke, as the result of a vow he had made when his boat was caught in a storm nearby. Tintern Abbey is situated 4 km north of Wood Village.

Saltmills is a small village located in the south-west of County Wexford, in Ireland. The village is located at the head of a small inlet that enters Bannow Bay. The village received its name from the medieval mills that existed just outside the village. Saltmills is situated 2½ km north of Wood Village.
