Wexford

Wexford is the county town of County Wexford, on the southeast corner of Ireland. The bay that forms its harbour has for centuries drawn incomers, and it was at the centre of the rebellion of 1798. In 2022 it had a population of 21,500.
Enniscorthy

Enniscorthy is a town in County Wexford, with a population in 2022 of 12,000. Standing on the River Slaney, it's best known as the redoubt of the rebels of 1798: their headquarters and last stand were on Vinegar Hill to the east of town.
Gorey

Gorey is a market town in County Wexford. It's 41 km north of Wexford and has become a commuter town for Dublin 90 km to the north; in 2022 the population was 11,500. Courtown and Riverchapel are small beach resorts 8 km southeast of Gorey.

New Ross

New Ross is a town in County Wexford on the River Barrow. Old Ross was Ros mhic threoin, a defensive earthwork amidst the woods, and 13th century English settlers built a bridge and new town.
Rosslare

Rosslare is in County Wexford in south-east Ireland, to the south of Wexford city. It's two distinct towns, 8 km apart by road. Rosslare Europort or Harbour developed from 1906 with the arrival of the railway, when it was obvious that Wexford harbour would become silted up.
Fethard-on-Sea

Fethard-on-Sea is a village on the coast of County Wexford in Ireland. With a population in 2022 of 363, it's the largest of the villages on Hook Peninsula, also described here. They include Saltmines, Duncannon and Ballyhack.
Kilmore Quay

Kilmore Quay is a fishing village on the south coast of County Wexford, with a population of about 400. It's a centre for yachting and sea-angling, and boat trips sail to the nature reserve of Great Saltee Island.
