Toomevara, officially , is a village in , , 11 km east of . It is a parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe, and is in the historical barony of Ormond Upper. is situated 5 km southeast of Ballinree.

is a market town in , Ireland: in Irish it's Aonach Urmhumhan, the market Fair of Ormond. Tipperary was from 1838 divided into a north and south riding, but this was abolished in 2014, so became the county town jointly with Clonmel and had a population in 2022 of 9900.
