Limerick

Limerick is a city in County Limerick in the Shannon Region of Ireland, with a population in 2024 of 60,314. It's a miniature Dublin with its Georgian streets, historic sights, and many visitor amenities, and is a good base for visiting its surrounding county plus County Clare and County Tipperary.
Ennis

Ennis is the county town of County Clare in Ireland. It's a market town with several historic and religious sites. It also has accommodation and other visitor amenities, and is the public transport hub for the county. In 2022 its population was 28,000.
Clonmel

Clonmel is the county town of County Tipperary jointly with Nenagh; in 2022 it had a population of 18,000. It stands on the River Suir, which forms the boundary with County Waterford, though the boundary swings south opposite town to include buildings on the other bank within County Tipperary.

County Clare is in the Shannon Region of Ireland. The eastern part is farmland, dotted with ruined abbeys and small market towns; the west and north are bare limestone ridges and cliffs facing the Atlantic weather.

County Tipperary is a county in the Mid-West or Shannon Region of Ireland, historically part of the province of Munster. It's low-lying, fertile and extensive: to paraphrase the familiar tune, "it's a long way from one end of Tipperary to the other".
