Applewood is a neighbourhood in the suburban town of Swords, County Dublin, Ireland. It was built around the year 2002 by property developer Gerry Gannon.

Swords Castle is an early medieval castle located in Swords, County Dublin. Originally built for the Archbishops of Dublin in the early 13th century near the Ward River, some of the castle estate had fallen into disrepair by the 14th and 15th centuries.

Dublin Airport is within the town limits and much of Swords is industrial or commuterland for the city, but with an ancient castle and Round Tower.
