Swords
Swords is a town 12 km north of Dublin, with a population in 2022 of 41,000. It's historically in County Dublin, which in 1994 was divided, with Swords becoming the county town of Fingal. Dublin Airport is within the town limits and much of Swords is industrial or commuterland for the city, but with an ancient castle and Round Tower.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Swords Castle is an early medieval castle located in Swords, County Dublin. Originally built for the Archbishops of Dublin in the early 13th century near the Ward River, some of the castle estate had fallen into disrepair by the 14th and 15th centuries.
