Saint Michael

The parish of St. Michael is one of 11 parishes in . It has a land area of 39 km2 and is at the southwest portion of the island. Saint Michael was the name of one of the original six parishes created in 1629 by Governor Sir William Tufton; its boundaries have been changed over time.

The Nidḥe Israel Synagogue is a Conservative Jewish congregation and synagogue, located on Synagogue Lane in , . It is the only synagogue in Barbados, and is bordered by the wider Magazine Lane, James, Coleridge and Pinfold streets, it is a part of the Synagogue Historic District. is situated 3½ km southwest of Saint Michael.
