Hercules Bay

Hercules Bay is a bay 0.5 nautical miles wide, which lies 1 nautical mile west-northwest of Cape Saunders along the north coast of South Georgia. It was named by Norwegian whalers after the Hercules, a whale catcher which had visited the bay.

is a peak over 610 metres high, standing north of on the north coast of South Georgia. The name appears on a chart showing the results of surveys by Discovery Investigations personnel in 1927 and 1929, and is probably after the SS Coronda whose captain was of assistance to the survey party.
