The Guides are two tussock-covered islands lying off the east side of the entrance to along the north coast of South Georgia. Charted by the German Antarctic Expedition under Filchner, 1911–12.

is a mountain, 770 m, standing 1.5 miles east of the mouth of on the north coast of South Georgia. Surveyed by the SGS in the period 1951–57, and named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee for Roswall Woodward, of New Haven, , who in 1790 commanded one of the first two American sealing vessels to visit South Georgia. is situated 3½ km southwest of The Guides.
