Grass Island is a conspicuous island lying across the entrance to Stromness Harbour in Stromness Bay, South Georgia. It was known as "Mutton Island" as early as 1912, but since 1920 the name Grass Island has been consistently used.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Coronda Peak
Peak
Coronda Peak is a peak over 610 metres high, standing north of Leith Harbour on the north coast of South Georgia. The name appears on a chart showing the results of surveys by Discovery Investigations personnel in 1927 and 1929, and is probably after the SS Coronda whose captain was of assistance to the survey party. Coronda Peak is situated 2½ km north of Grass Island.

Leith Harbour, also known as Port Leith, was a whaling station on the northeast coast of South Georgia, established and operated by Christian Salvesen Ltd, Edinburgh.

Husvik is a former whaling station on the north-central coast of South Georgia Island. It was one of three such stations in Stromness Bay, the other two being Stromness and Leith Harbour. Husvik is situated 3½ km southwest of Grass Island.
