Sierra de los Padres is a string of rocky hills and ridges about 14 miles west of Mar del Plata. They are part of Tandilia's mountain range, actually a series of low rock-strewn elevations of precambrian origin extended from central Buenos Aires Province to Cabo Corrientes, a cape on the shores of Mar del Plata. Sierra de los Padres is situated 3½ km west of Laguna de los Padres.

Batán is a small town in General Pueyrredón district, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, on both sides of Provincial Route 88, some 10 kilometres west of the city of Mar del Plata. Batán is situated 8 km south of Laguna de los Padres.
