Pueblo Culhuacán is an officially designated neighborhood of the borough of , which used to be a major pre-Hispanic city. Ancient Culhuacán was founded around 600 CE and the site has been continuously occupied since.

Culhuacán is a station on Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro. The station is located between Atlalilco and San Andrés Tomatlán. It was opened on 30 October 2012 as a part of the first stretch of Line 12 between Mixcoac and Tláhuac.

This relatively large area in the southwest of has always been a counterculture hotbed. This is where Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera lived, a few blocks away from Leon Trotsky, and the tranquil residential area, with parks, squares, and cobblestone streets, is now a favourite spot for the bohemia set.
