Morrito is a municipality in the Río San Juan department of . As of 2018 the current mayor is Eda Griselda Medina. The total population of the municipality is approximately 1,700 “town” residents and 5,000 rural inhabitants, with includes a total of about 3,000 people under the age of 16 years.
