Whiteside is an unincorporated community in Marion County, Tennessee. It was originally settled as a Cherokee town in the late eighteenth century. After Indian Removal, European-American settlers moved in and later named it after James Anderson Whiteside, attorney, Chattanooga railroad promoter and land investor. Whiteside is situated 3½ miles southwest of Bible Branch.
