Friendship is a town in Knox County, Maine, United States. The town was incorporated in 1762 as "Meduncook". It is located 31 miles southeast of Augusta and had a population of 1,142 in 2020. Friendship is situated 2½ miles northeast of Gull Rock.

Located on Muscongus Bay and the Gulf of Maine, it includes the villages of Broad Cove, Turners Corner, Bremen, Medomak and Muscongus. Hog Island is a center and camp for the Maine chapter of the National Audubon Society. Bremen is situated 6 miles north of Gull Rock.
