City of Saugatuck

Saugatuck and Douglas are small adjacent resort towns in West Michigan on the shores of Lake Michigan, and at the mouth of the Kalamazoo River. They are mostly a summer resort area popular with locals and Chicago residents, and have a lively arts scene and many out of the ordinary shops and restaurants.

Mount Baldhead, also known as Mt. Baldy and Radar Hill, is a 250-foot sand dune located on a narrow strip of land between Lake Michigan and Kalamazoo River, directly across the river from downtown Saugatuck.

Goshorn Lake

Goshorn Lake is a small inland lake north of Saugatuck, Michigan, named after James Goshorn. It is separated by high sand dunes from the Lake Michigan shore and was once a meeting place for the Pottawatomi Native Americans.
