Rattlesnake Island

Rattlesnake Island is a large island in Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. There are conflicting accounts of where it got its name, because its shape looks somewhat like a snake, but some say it is named for a rattlesnake population that lived there. Rattlesnake Island is situated 2 miles southwest of Wolfeboro Neck.

The Libby Museum is a natural history museum at 755 North Main Street in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. The museum was founded by Dr. Henry Libby in 1912, and was the first museum in the state dedicated solely to its natural history. Libby Museum is situated 2½ miles north of Wolfeboro Neck.
