Lake Gleneida

Lake Gleneida is a controlled lake in the hamlet of Carmel within the Town of Carmel in central Putnam County, New York. Originally a smaller natural water body, Shaw's Pond, it was dammed by New York City in 1870 and enlarged to 168 acres for inclusion in its water supply system. Lake Gleneida is situated 2½ miles east of Dixon Lake.

Kirk Lake is a controlled lake in the hamlet of Mahopac in the town of Carmel in Putnam County, New York. First impounded in 1871, with a substantially larger dam placed in 1881, it lies due west and sharply below considerably larger Lake Mahopac. Kirk Lake is situated 2½ miles southwest of Dixon Lake.
China Pond
China Pond is a lake in Putnam County, in the U.S. state of New York. The pond has a surface area of 50 acres. According to tradition, China Pond was named from an incident after a woman tossed chinaware into it in order to anger her drunk husband.
