Poughkeepsie station is a Metro-North Railroad and Amtrak stop serving the city of Poughkeepsie, New York. The station is the northern terminus of Metro-North's Hudson Line, and an intermediate stop for Amtrak's several Empire Corridor trains. Poughkeepsie station is situated 1½ miles southeast of Highland.

The Walkway Over the Hudson is a steel cantilever bridge crossing the Hudson River between Poughkeepsie, New York and Highland, New York. The structure was completed in 1889 as a double track railroad bridge, later known as the Poughkeepsie–Highland Railroad Bridge.
