Dana Butte is a 4,964-foot prominence, adjacent the course of the Colorado River, in the Grand Canyon and sits on the south side of Granite Gorge. The butte is roughly 2.5 miles north-northwest of Grand Canyon Village of the central Grand Canyon, and lies about 2.0 miles due north of Pima Point. Dana Butte is situated 1½ miles east of Cedar Spring.
