Apex was a lumber town on the Grand Canyon Railway situated in Coconino County, Arizona. Founded as company town on a wye on the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad, the community was dissolved when lumbering activity ceased in 1936. Apex is situated 3½ miles south of Coconino station.
Tusayan
Tusayan is a town of 600 people just 2 miles from the South Rim entrance of Grand Canyon National Park. It is most often used by travelers to the park for overnight lodging.
