It is situated nine miles northwest of Grand Canyon Village, immediately north of Diana Temple, and south of Scorpion Ridge which lies across the opposite side of Granite Gorge. Geikie Peak is situated 1½ miles southeast of Sapphire Rapids.

Pollux Temple is situated 2 miles south of Sapphire Rapids.

Castor Temple is situated 2 miles southwest of Sapphire Rapids.
