Darwin is an unincorporated mining community and Census-designated place in Inyo County, California, United States. It is located 22 miles southeast of Keeler. The population was 36 at the 2020 census, down from 43 at the 2010 census. Darwin is situated 1½ miles south of Darwin Hills.
