Mount Laguna is a small census-designated place in San Diego County, California. It is approximately 6,000 feet above sea level in a forest of Jeffrey pine, east of San Diego in the Laguna Mountains on the eastern edge of the Cleveland National Forest. Mount Laguna is situated 4½ miles northeast of Laguna Mountains.

Pine Valley is a community and census-designated place in the Cuyamaca Mountains of the Mountain Empire area, in southeastern San Diego County, California. The population was 1,645 at the 2020 census, up from 1,510 at the 2010 census. Pine Valley is situated 4½ miles west of Laguna Mountains.
