Challenge is an unincorporated community in Yuba County, California. It is located on Dry Creek 30 miles northeast of Marysville. Challenge was once the terminus of a narrow-gauge logging railroad that hauled timber to the Beanville mill.

Challenge–Brownsville is a census-designated place in Yuba County, California, United States. The population was 1,161 according to the 2020 Census. Despite strong opposition from local community members, Asatru Folk Assembly, a religious group, moved there in 2015.
