The Poverty Hills are a mountain range in northwestern Inyo County of eastern California, northwest of Bishop and the upper Owens Valley. They are east of and below the Sierra Nevada, in the Round Valley area, and just west of Tinemaha Reservoir and the Owens River.Places of Interest

Tinemaha Reservoir is a reservoir created by a dam on the Owens River in the Owens Valley. It is located in Inyo County, eastern California. It is part of the Los Angeles Aqueduct system, operated by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Tinemaha Reservoir is situated 1½ miles northeast of Poverty Hills.
