Part of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's Central Valley Project, the dam is 157 feet high and impounds the Keswick Reservoir, which has a capacity of 23,800 acre⋅ft. Keswick Dam is situated 3,800 feet southwest of Hummingbird Mine.
