Fort Humboldt State Historic Park

Fort Humboldt State Historic Park is a California state park, located in Eureka, California, United States. Its displays interpret the former U.S. Army fort, which was staffed from 1853 to 1870, the interactions between European Americans and Native Americans in roughly the same period, logging equipment and local narrow gauge railroad history of the region. Fort Humboldt State Historic Park is situated 1½ miles north of Martin Slough.

The Humboldt Bay Power Plant, Unit 3 was a 63 MWe nuclear boiling water reactor, owned by Pacific Gas and Electric Company that operated from August 1963 to July 1976 just south of Eureka, California, in an area referred to as King Salmon and Fields Landing. Humboldt Bay Nuclear Power Plant is situated 1½ miles southwest of Martin Slough.
