Merrill Cave is a 650 foot former ice cave in Lava Beds National Monument in California. It was known for the pool of ice that was found year-round in the lower chamber of the cave, which fully disappeared due to compounding factors by 2005.
Schonchin Butte

Schonchin Butte is a cinder cone on the northern flank of Medicine Lake Volcano in the Cascade Range in northern California. Frothy lava, cooled in the air, created the large cinder cones throughout Lava Beds National Monument. Schonchin Butte is situated 2 miles northeast of Modoc Crater.
