The Kitsap Peninsula is in the Puget Sound of Washington State, between the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. It is almost an island, connected to the mainland by only a 2 mi wide stretch of land near Belfair.- Type: Island

The out-of-the-way Key Peninsula is the southernmost extension of the larger Kitsap Peninsula in Washington state, southwest of Purdy. It gets its name from its key-like shape. Lakebay is situated 3½ miles east of Herron Island.
