Nooksack is a city in Whatcom County, Washington, United States, 5 mi south of the border with Canada. The population was 1,471 at the 2020 census. Despite the name, it is actually located right next to the upper stream of the Sumas River, and is 1.2 mi northeast of the nearest bank of the Nooksack River. Nooksack is situated 2 miles northeast of Strandell.
