Dinner Island is an island in the San Juan Islands of the U.S. state of Washington. It lies in Griffin Bay on the southeastern coast of San Juan Island. The name comes from the landing of a party from a British vessel who ate dinner on the island. Dinner Island is situated 2½ miles southwest of Turn Island.

Friday Harbor is the main city on San Juan Island, the most populous of the San Juan Islands. It is also the county seat of San Juan County. Friday Harbor is quite commercially developed, considering its remoteness, and offers more of a laid-back, country club vibe than one of a fishing community.

Shaw Island is the smallest of the four San Juan Islands served by the Washington State Ferries, at just under 8 sq mi. It has a year-round population about 200 people, though summertime weekends swell with other residents and the occasional tourist.
