Kalaoa is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place in Hawaiʻi County, Hawaiʻi, United States. The population was 9,644 as of the 2010 census, up from 6,794 residents at the 2000 census.

Kohanaiki Beach Park is a relatively new park, established in 2013, located in Kailua, Hawaii County, Hawaii. Called "Pinetree" by the local people, it is a quiet park visited by the local people mainly, its entrance on Hawaii State Highway 19 being shown only as "Shoreline". Kohanaiki Beach Park is situated 4½ miles west of Kalaoa School.
