The Pacific War was a theatre of World War II including East Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania, separate from World War II in Europe. Western accounts generally consider the war to have started with the Pearl Harbor attack of December 1941. Site of the beginning of Pacific War is situated 4 km west of Salt Lake Elementary School.

USS Arizona

USS Arizona was a standard-type battleship built for the United States Navy in the mid-1910s. Named in honor of the 48th state, she was the second and last ship in the Pennsylvania class. USS Arizona is situated 4 km west of Salt Lake Elementary School.

Aloha Stadium

Aloha Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Hālawa, Hawaii, a western suburb of Honolulu. Located just south of Aiea off the northeastern corner of Pearl Harbor next to the Kamehameha Highway and the Hālawa station of the Skyline rail system, it was the largest stadium in the state of Hawaii. Aloha Stadium is situated 2½ km northwest of Salt Lake Elementary School.
