Wiri
Wiri is a mostly industrial-commercial focused suburb in Auckland, New Zealand. It was formerly part of Manukau City until the merger of all of Auckland's councils into the 'super city' in 2010. The area was named after the chief Takaanini Wirihana.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Matukutūruru is a volcano and Tūpuna Maunga in Wiri, in the Auckland volcanic field. It had a scoria cone reaching 80 metres above sea level, which was quarried away.
Wiri Lava Cave

Wiri lava cave is Auckland's longest known lava cave at around 290 metres. It is part of Matukutūruru volcano in the Auckland volcanic field. Because it features rare lava stalactites, the cave has garnered international renown, and access is restricted, with entry requiring a permit.
