Karaka Bay
Karaka Bay or Waiarohe is on the western shore of the Tāmaki River mouth in the suburb of Glendowie, Auckland. The bay is bordered to the north by Te Papa a Tamatera and looks out to the islands of the eastern Waitematā Harbour: Rangitoto, Motutapu, Motukorea, Motuihe and Waiheke as well as to Musick Point across the estuary.Photo: Clivostros, CC BY-SA 4.0.

Churchill Park is a 40-hectare park in the Auckland suburb of Glendowie, in New Zealand. It was named after Winston Churchill upon the park's creation in 1945, and lies on the eastern side of the Auckland isthmus towards the Tāmaki River. Glendowie suburb was established in the 1920s when George Riddell created a loop road in the area.

Glendowie is a suburb in Auckland, New Zealand. It is under the local governance of Auckland Council. It was under Auckland City Council from 1989 until the merger of all of Auckland's councils into the "super city" in 2010.

St Heliers is a seaside suburb of Auckland with a population of 11,760 as of June 2025. St Heliers is located at the eastern end of Tamaki Drive, and used to be the place where the Tamaki estuary formally divided Auckland from Manukau City, until the entire Auckland region was amalgamated under a single city authority, the Auckland Council, in 2010.
