Rere is a small community in the northeast of New Zealand's North Island. it is located in the upper valley of the Wharekōpae River in remote country in the foothills of the Huiarau Range, inland from Gisborne. Rere is situated 8 km west of Deep Creek.
Ngātapa
Hamlet
Ngātapa is a rural community in the Gisborne District of New Zealand's North Island. In late 1868 and early 1869 between 86 and 128 followers of Te Kooti were executed on nearby Ngātapa hill after the siege of Ngatapa. Ngātapa is situated 10 km southeast of Deep Creek.
