Motutara Island

Motutara Island is an uninhabited island in the northern Hauraki Gulf, off the northeastern coast of New Zealand's North Island. It is connected to Moturekareka Island by a tombolo, and is a part of the Moturekareka Group of islands, alongside Motuketekete Island.

Scotts Landing, also called Mahurangi East, is a rural settlement in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. It is at the end of a narrow peninsula on the eastern side of Mahurangi Harbour. Algies Bay is to the north. Scotts Landing is situated 6 km west of Motutara Island.

Algies Bay is a northern coastal suburb of Auckland, in New Zealand. It is on the Mahurangi Peninsula about 68 kilometres north of the city centre. Highfield Garden Reserve is a 10 acre reserve of public land along Mahurangi East Road. Algies Bay is situated 7 km northwest of Motutara Island.
